Amazon Launches 'Business Deals' — B2B-Only Discounts Calculated Off Your Business Price, Live in 10 Markets Including the US and Canada, With a 10% Minimum Discount (15% for High Velocity Events) and Free Event Email/Push Visibility Only Through December 31, 2026

Effective: August 31, 2026
Sellers in the US, Canada and the eight other listed markets who already sell to Amazon Business customers, or who could — the gate is having a Business Price configured on the ASIN, a 3.5-star-or-better rating, and new-condition inventory.

On August 31, 2026 Amazon announced Business Deals, a new deal type that is visible only to registered Amazon Business customers, and made it available the same day. Unlike consumer discounts, a Business Deal is calculated off the seller's Business Price rather than the public listing price, so sellers who have never configured B2B pricing cannot use it at all. The feature is live in 10 markets — the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Australia — reaching more than 11 million registered business organizations. India, which is an Amazon Business market, was excluded without explanation. Amazon is offering enhanced visibility through dedicated email and push notification campaigns during major shopping events at no additional cost, but that benefit carries a hard expiry of December 31, 2026, which effectively makes Prime Big Deal Days and Black Friday/Cyber Monday the only events it covers.

Real-World Impact

The discount is measured against your Business Price, not your retail price. On an ASIN listed at $100 with a $95 Business Price, the 10% minimum puts a regular Business Deal at $85.50, and the 15% High Velocity Event minimum puts it at $80.75 during Prime Big Deal Days or Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Key Points

  • Announced August 31, 2026 through the News and Announcements channel of the Amazon Seller Forums and the Seller News panel inside Seller Central, and live the same day
  • Business Deals are visible only to registered Amazon Business customers — more than 11 million registered business organizations globally
  • The discount is calculated from the seller's Business Price, not the public listing price, so an ASIN with no Business Price configured is not eligible
  • Live in 10 markets: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Mexico and Australia — India, an Amazon Business market, was excluded with no explanation given
  • Eligibility: an existing Business Price, a product rating of 3.5 stars or higher, new condition, plus unspecified pricing and seller performance requirements
  • Minimum discount is 10% for regular deals and 15% for what Amazon calls High Velocity Event deals (Prime Big Deal Days, Black Friday, Cyber Monday)
  • Deal duration runs from one hour to 30 days — a much shorter floor than consumer price discounts, which run in whole days — with a choice of Fixed Price or Percent Off construction
  • Setup lives inside the existing Price Discounts interface, and the Promotions page has added 'All Business Customers' as an audience selection
  • Free enhanced visibility via dedicated event email and push notification campaigns expires December 31, 2026
  • Amazon did not disclose whether Business Deals carry promotion fees, or whether B2B pricing affects reference price calculations for consumer-facing deals

What You Should Do Now

  1. 1Check which of your ASINs actually have a Business Price set — without one, the ASIN cannot run a Business Deal no matter how it is priced to consumers
  2. 2Filter your catalog for ASINs at 3.5 stars or higher in new condition, since those are the stated eligibility gates alongside the Business Price requirement
  3. 3Model the 10% and 15% minimums against your Business Price rather than your retail price, because the deeper starting point can stack on top of a B2B discount you are already giving
  4. 4Note the event submission windows: the Prime Big Deal Days window closed September 8 and the Black Friday/Cyber Monday window closes October 20 — anything you want promoted during those events has to be in before those dates
  5. 5Treat the free event email and push visibility as a 2026-only benefit — it expires December 31, 2026, so factor it into Q4 planning but not into 2027 margin assumptions
  6. 6Ask Seller Support in writing whether promotion fees apply, since Amazon's announcement did not say, and price the deal defensively until you have an answer
