Amazon Buy Shipping Now Accepts Linked Carrier Accounts for USPS, UPS Roadie, UPS Mail Innovations, OnTrac, and DHL eCommerce — Use Your Own Negotiated Rates and Keep OTDR Protection (July 27, 2026)

US merchant-fulfilled (FBM) sellers who self-ship orders and hold their own negotiated contracts with USPS, UPS Roadie, UPS Mail Innovations, OnTrac, or DHL eCommerce. This is an opt-in capability with no stated deadline — Amazon has not announced any requirement to link accounts, and sellers who continue buying labels at Amazon's rates are unaffected. FBA-only sellers who do not self-fulfill are not affected.

Amazon announced that self-shipping sellers can now link their own carrier accounts to Amazon Buy Shipping for five additional carriers: USPS, UPS Roadie, UPS Mail Innovations, OnTrac, and DHL eCommerce. Linking lets you buy labels at your own carrier-negotiated rates while still qualifying for Buy Shipping protections — on-time delivery rate protection and refunds for delivery-related claims. The carrier, not Amazon, bills you for the label, and those labels count toward any minimum shipped-volume commitment you have with that carrier. Sellers can link multiple accounts and assign them to different ship-from locations.

Key Points

  • Carrier account linking in Amazon Buy Shipping is now available for USPS, UPS Roadie, UPS Mail Innovations, OnTrac, and DHL eCommerce
  • Linking applies your own carrier-negotiated rates to labels purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping
  • Labels bought on a linked account remain eligible for Buy Shipping protections — specifically on-time delivery rate protection and refunds for delivery-related claims
  • The carrier bills you directly for the label, not Amazon
  • Labels purchased through Amazon Buy Shipping count toward the minimum shipped volume you have agreed to with that carrier
  • You can link multiple carrier accounts and assign each to a different ship-from location
  • Once linked, Buy Shipping labels can be purchased via Manage Orders, the Shipping API, Veeqo, or other multi-channel integrators

What You Should Do Now

  1. 1Check whether your negotiated rates with USPS, UPS Roadie, UPS Mail Innovations, OnTrac, or DHL eCommerce beat the Amazon Buy Shipping rate you currently pay on your highest-volume lanes
  2. 2If they do, go to Manage your carrier accounts in Buy Shipping preferences and follow Amazon's step-by-step instructions to link the account
  3. 3If you ship from more than one location, assign each linked carrier account to the correct ship-from address rather than linking a single account globally
  4. 4Confirm the linked account still shows Buy Shipping protection on your labels — the on-time delivery rate protection and delivery-claim refunds are the reason to route these labels through Amazon rather than buying direct
  5. 5If you have a minimum shipped volume commitment with the carrier, note that Buy Shipping labels count toward it, so routing volume through Amazon no longer risks a contract shortfall
