Amazon's Business Credit Cards Left American Express for U.S. Bank on August 14, 2026 — New Mastercards, the 5% Cap Rises From $120,000 to $150,000, Amex Points Had to Be Redeemed by August 12, and Every Recurring Payment on the Old Card Number Breaks
The Amazon Business Card and Amazon Business Prime Card co-brand relationship with American Express ended on August 14, 2026. Existing accounts converted to replacement Prime Business Card and Amazon Business Card products issued by U.S. Bank on the Mastercard network, with physical cards mailed in late July and early August. The core Amazon earn rate survived the move and the annual cap on it actually went up, but the account numbers changed, the redemption window on the Amex side closed on August 12, and transferred rewards were not accessible again until August 20 — a six-day gap in the middle of Q4 inventory buying season. Sellers who used the card to buy inventory, supplies or AWS capacity and had autopay or recurring vendor charges attached to the old number had to re-enter details before the cutover.
